New search engine claims to provide “more accurate and relevant” results than Google

Search engine snipesearch.co.uk is among the top 1000 Websites in the UK based on the number of visitors it receives every day. Popular search engines like Google, Yahoo & Bing rule the roost on the Internet but new search engine SnipeSearch is slowly making its presence felt because its founders say their search engine throws up relevant results without letting commercial factors influence them. And, to be fair, we did conduct some experiments & realized there was some truth in their claim.

new search engineSnipeSearch is based in Borehamwood, Hertfordshire & employs very few staff. It was founded by techies Stephen Driver & Nick Lange. The duo were discussing search engine rankings & results a few years ago & both agreed that many search engines were throwing up skewed results. They often found that the regular sites they used disappeared in the search results for unknown reasons.

Driver & Lange became concerned that search engines may be preoccupied with profit than accuracy, and so decided to launch their own search engine to counter this trend. Initially, SnipeSearch utilized meta tools to provide accurate results after collating data thrown up by other search Websites. But this was an expensive method & Snipesearch also had to rely on its competitors.

This new search engine’s founders thought this was against their core value which was to provide impartial & accurate results. Their goal was not turning a profit. So snipesearch modified its algorithm & started using independent indexing. It still gathers results from other search engines but indexes them using its own system. As a result, SnipeSearch says it provides more options to users & also throws up more results than even Google.

Stephen Driver has claimed that SnipeSearch was becoming popular because it attracted repeat visitors who came to the Site for its accurate results, email service, video search option & the 100,000 songs they could listen to on the search engine’s social network. SnipeSearch also claims to be more secure as it safeguards users’ privacy.

Marketing firm offers free seo tools for small business owners

In the race to get into the front page of search results of Online search engines, a lot of money is spent on Search Engine Optimization (SEO). Things may have got a little easier for this lot.

Search engine marketing firm SEO Arbiter has debuted a free SEO tools section on their website. The online tools are designed to help small business owners do some basic on-page SEO without requiring them to be tech savvy or search optimization experts.

The two tools currently available on the website are: HTML tools that allow users to easily format meta tags & anchor text without needing to know too much about HTML tags.

For the record, HTML is hypertext markup language, which is the simplest way to create a webpage. If you want to create or modify page content, you use an HTML editor, or you can directly modify the tags by opening up the source file.

But not everyone knows what keyword, title or description tags are for in a web page, & how you put in the right ones. In fact, it’s not fair to expect a small business owner to know what kind of title or description works best, & what keywords to focus on. That’s what SEO experts & consulting firms such as SEO Arbiter are for.

However, it’s hard for small businesses to shell out the big bucks required for a wide-ranging SEO campaign. If you’re just looking for some basic on-page optimization, you can use free SEO tools that are available online, including the ones just debuted by the US-based SEO Arbiter. One is a meta tag generator that will give you all the tags you need to keep the search engines happy, & you don’t need to know a thing about meta tags.

The other tool is an anchor text generator. Without wading too deep into the way search engine algorithms work, let’s just say that the incoming links pointing towards a page matter, as does the text or words associated with the link. Here’s a good example – SEO tools.
