Circle claims to be all enabling global digital currency & “transforming the world economy with secure, simple, and less costly technology for storing & using money.”

Announcing the launch on Circle’s official blog, CEO Jeremy Allaire wrote: For our initial product launch, our aims were simple: Create an experience that is fast, beautiful, and enjoyable to use. Online banking applications stink. We wanted an elegant design aesthetic that would appeal to digital natives.

Reduce the friction that so many people – even sophisticated, technology-savvy people – often experience in acquiring and spending Bitcoin. Starting today, people can onboard into a Circle account and begin using digital money within minutes, not days. And Circle eliminates the labyrinth of fees and complex user interfaces designed for traders.

Make digital money the same as other major Internet services for consumers: instant and free. We wanted our service to be instant for onboarding, instant for depositing and converting money, and nearly instant for sending and receiving payments – anywhere on the planet.

Circle is now available in 7 languages, which collectively cover approximately 40% of the world’s population. Circle’s site, product, & customer support Content are all available in English, Chinese, Japanese, Portuguese (Brazilian), Spanish (Latin American), German, & French.

It was in May, Circle announced it was offering customers insurance from theft on 100 % of their bitcoin account balances. Today, this insurance coverage has been extended to every Circle customer. Circle customers will have 100 % coverage of their full deposit value.

Circle also announced it was building a suite of consumer products aimed at enabling greater ease-of-use in Online & in-person payments, enhanced security & privacy for consumers, & the convenience of free, instant, global digital money transfers.

Hightail allows sharing of large files plus storage in Cloud

It is not possible to send large files as attachments on popular email services like Gmail & Yahoo Mail as they have a limit on the size of the file. Hightail (formerly YouSendIt) steps in to help users who regularly need to send huge files to others, that too in an encrypted form.

All you need to do is create an account, then upload the large file to Hightail’s servers & send the generated link to the recipient of the file. Hightail confirms the delivery by email, & you can get data on details such as the time when the file is accessed, the number of times it is downloaded & its date of expiry. Thus, this mobile app offers much more than a simple bounce-back notifying email for users. Users can even sign documents digitally.

The other feature of this service is that it provides Cloud storage facility. The stored files can be made available for other people to access. All these features are offered free if you sign up for Hightail’s basic plan.

E-Signatures
This option allows you to scribble your signature, select the desired font for it & enlarge its size as required. You can then save the e-signature & use it any time later. Hightail also allows you to use a stylus to insert your signature. The e-signatures facility saves you the trouble of scanning a signed paper document & sending it to the recipient.

Pricing
The basic plan is free & offers sharing of files up to 250MB, five e-signatures & a storage limit of 2GB. There are also paid plans for professionals, teams & enterprises.

Hightail, as known as YouSendIt, was founded in 2004 & is based in San Francisco, USA. The company claims it has more than 40 million subscribers including 98% of Fortune 500 companies.
