pCloud: The Dropbox alternative is here

Cloud Services for storing & sharing data to any device are on the rise these days. Well-known services like Dropbox, Onedrive or Google Drive provide various options. Another player in the Cloud Service domain has now emerged called pCloud. pCloud’s motto is – Anything, Anytime & Anywhere.

Through pCloud, one can upload any type of files to the Cloud. This service offers 20GB storage space. pCloud has a wide range of connectivity options. The user can access his pCloud account through a Web app, desktop app & iOS & Android app. Windows Phone 8 & Blackberry Apps are currently in development.

Another plus feature is that pCloud creates a separate drive on your computer where you can just copy, paste your files, which can then be accessed from anywhere. This function works on the Windows, Macintosh & Linux platforms. The user can then access his drive from any hardware that has the pCloud App or software installed. If the OS is not supported, the user can access the files through the Web-based portal.

pcloudpagepCloud creates a simple upload link for easy sharing options. Users can view their photos or videos across all platforms on the go. There is no upload speed limit as pCloud uses the Internet Service Provider’s (ISP) upload speed. pCloud uses TLS/SSL encryption protocols for safety & security. Also, there is no limit on file size, one can upload or download large files such as HD Videos on any device.

pCloud initially offers 10GB of free storage space. If the user invites his/her friends, he is then offered an additional 10GB storage. For high storage requirements, the plans start from US $4.99 per month for 100GB to $49.99 per month for 1TB of storage.

pCloud is currently available on iOS & Android OS.
