Make and share Cloud-based presentations using Swipe

By: Anand R.

Swipe (Swipe.to) offers a Cloud-based tool that helps you create presentations & present them ‘Live’ to everyone, regardless of location or the device they are using to access the Internet.

Swipe came out of private beta a few months ago, & is now a full-fledged tool that allows you to quickly & easily create & share presentations in real time with an unlimited audience.

The best part is that you can use the Web-based app to create presentations using Swipe, & your audience doesn’t need to use a smartphone app to access the link & interact with you. It can be done simply by loading the tool on any Web browser.

Shades of another tool here called SlideShare, no doubt, but Swipe goes the extra mile by offering real time interactive capabilities. You can get feedback while you’re making the presentation, & let you know how the audience is reacting to specific parts of the presentation or a particular call to action or poll.

This tool is versatile enough to adjust your slides to make them look good on any device or screen, & preloads the slides to make the whole presentation flow smoothly across the screen.

Creating your slide decks is just as easy. You can drag & drop files of all kinds (pdf, markdown, images, psd, svg, eps, raw and more). To make it even easier, you can connect Swipe to Dropbox. You can embed youtube & Vimeo videos simply by copy-pasting the links. The app takes care of the rest.

Once you have the presentation ready, you get a url that you can share with people. The key difference between Swipe & other Online presentation tools is when you’re actually making the presentation, because everyone who’s checking out the shared url is able to follow along & respond to your presentation as you “Swipe” your way through the slide deck.

The London, UK-based Swipe was co-founded in Nov 2012 by CEO Horia Cernusca & CTO Håkon Eide. The company has raised seed funding in 2013 from Passion Capital partners Eileen Burbidge, Stefan Glaenzer & Robert Dighero.
