Excite Japan Co., Ltd. said it had launched the English optimized version of it’s Android app ‘Japanese Translation’ for those interested in learning Japanese around the world.

The free app has been downloaded 1.7 million times in Japan & is one of the most popular translation app in the country for its high quality English-Japanese & Japanese-English translation. In addition, user-friendly interface and multiple features specialized for smartphone users are well appreciated.

“We believe that this app will help millions of Japanese learning users in English speaking countries worldwide,” said Hideyuki Okada, General Manager of Smartphone Business Department of Excite Japan Co., Ltd. “Japanese Translation is an app to support learning and communicating in Japanese which would lead to better understanding of beautiful Japanese culture.”

The iPhone version of ‘Japanese Translation’ is also available. Launched in late November 2012 and has been downloaded by more than 100,000 users since the launch.
