Use this new app called Thumb to get opinions online in real time

When you are online & need an opinion on something, what is it you do? Go to some social network, or stuff like that? Did you know that there is a new smartphone & web app called Thumb which is a tool to get the opinion of real people on just about any subject?

Thumb is a tool for giving and receiving opinions in real time.

It’s a community of people waiting to give you their opinion at the tip of your fingers. So whatever the subject be – buying clothes, watching a movie, or buying a music album. If you wanna know whether it is the right thing to do or not, you can use Thumb to get the opinion of people.

You can even use this new app for other, serious purposes like asking friends or colleagues to vote on a particular subject. Eg: Did whistleblower Snowden do the right thing?

You can register with Thumb by providing your first name, last name, email address, birthdate, & a password. You can also use any of your social accounts for the same. Registration & use is free. For businesses, there’s a premium paid version, too. Thumb actually can be a useful tool for corporates, brands, even political parties & marketers to understand the pulse of the people. It is available for both, Android as well as iOS devices, & there’s one for the web, too.

A few years ago Thumb was incubated with the goal of helping people get instant opinions while shopping. After launching the concept in 2010, this New Jersey, US-located startup was surprised to find that people wanted to use this new app to get or give feedback in virtually every area of life. Today, Thumb is a place where you’ll discover “interesting things and people” via an engaging & instantaneous experience.

Brabble

Here comes the Brabble social sharing app and network

This New York, US-based social sharing app & network BrabbleTV.com LLC has launched its first product – Brabble for iOS. It’s available in the Apple Store around the world.

So what is Brabble all about? At heart, it is an online socializing tool but the manner in which it allows users to go about doing that is what sets it apart from the competition, claim its makers. To begin with, this new iOS app supports the capturing & creation of a user’s life moments in any of these 4 formats – video, pictures, audio & text. But the differentiator is the “whole new level” at which users of the Brabble social network can connect & converse with each other. How? Users can ‘brabbleback’ to another user’s shared moment with a multi-media response of their own, i.e. rather than leave a 4-line, ordinary ‘Comment’, they can instead reply with a video, image, audio file or text of their own.

brabbleExplains Brabble Founder & Chief Product Officer Jeff DePalma,”We’re not alone in seeing a burning need to help people better connect through their social sharing. The trouble is, for 15 years or more, it really wasn’t a conversation, was it? I posted a picture of my lunch, or vacation or the kids, and you posted a comment in response. And by the way, if it was a picture, I usually posted on Facebook, now Instagram, increasingly Pinterest for some. Videos? Maybe on Tumblr or even YouTube, but more likely they just sat on our cells. Audio? SoundCloud, maybe…

“So what we just spent the past two years developing and launched today lets you capture all those moments in a video, a picture, an audio or a text — and post it all to one place. But the killer feature for me is this: when your friends or family or even total strangers post a response or ‘brabbleback’ they can say it with a video, a picture, an audio or a good old fashioned text comment. The evolving ‘brabble’ morphs into a whole new kind of human media conversation.”

The new iOS app is free to download. This new smartphone app is the 1st product from the Brabble TV.com LLC stable. The app is immediately positioned for the hyper-connected young & 20-somethings, but its designers hope others, too, will take to it very quickly.

Jim Trolice, Brabble CEO says, “We think there’s a big gap and we plan to fill it with this first release and future socially-connected products. By the way, there’s a huge role for brands and celebrity partners to play in all this — and we’ll be rolling out some amazing, innovative product extensions over the next 12 months that we believe, will re-imagine what the social web is all about”.

And if you are on Android, no sweat. The Android as well as Brabble for Tablet versions, are coming later this summer.
