Stripe, here comes competition by way of WePay Clear

Online payments tool Stripe now has competition. WePay, a Palo Alt-based startup is taking on Stripe with the launch of a new product called WePay Clear. This is a white-label, API-based service that works similar to Stripe, but with extra verve – Clear offers a no-fraud guarantee.It also offers to take care of:

  •    1099-K tax filings
  •     Visa, Mastercard & Amex compliance
  •     PCI security to protect your customers
  •     AML/BSA

WePay Clear works both on desktop & as a mobile app. It is already ‘live’ in the U.S. & is now rolling out in Canada.

WePay earlier had, in 2011, launched a product called WePay Connect & Clear is kinda its new avatar. Connect also comes with a no-fraud guarantee.
