Snap photos of business cards and FullContact Card Reader App shall do the storing

Going to a business conference & bringing along physical business cards or manually storing them in a phone or a Tablet can be tricky. Sure it’s a good way to store contact information but often turns out to be a tedious job.

FullContact, a Denver, United States-based company specializes in Contact Management Software. It has come out with this App to automate the calling card process. Called the FullContact Card Reader App, it auto-magically stores the contact information into the user’s address book, since it allows him to take a snapshot of the business card.

The App works in a simple way. The user takes a snapshot of the business card with the App & the App does the rest of the job, & stores the contact in the user’s address book. The contact information is also stored in the FullContact Address Book & Salesforce.

FullContact has worked on a neat, ‘Image to Text’ recognition software which allows the App to capture accurate text information from a business card. With the integration of Salesforce ISV, the contacts are stored in its database where they are manually transcribed & then the data is delivered to Salesforce. This integration is useful for business owners with Salesforce support. It also gives an edge over other card readers from Evernote Hello!, NeatMobile & Shape Business Card.

This service was previously available on iOS. Now, FullContact has launched this App on Android Play Store. The company offers Contact Management Software on various platforms, & this App is an extension to that. FullContact provides an API for 3rd party developers to integrate this system in their products.

With features like offline capture mode & manual edit to add more details makes this App a handy Card Reader while on Business conferences or Sales meetings.
