SimplyTestable is an Online tool that allows you to do automated front-end testing of Web pages or even entire Websites that you have just created or modified.
All you have to do is enter the URL. With a single click, the tool will, on its own, do a full Site HTML validation, JavaScript static analysis, CSS validation & check for broken links, too. If you have created a Website with different bits of code & scripts using your design template as a starting point, you’ll know how big a pain frontend testing can be when you do it manually – page by page. It won’t work exactly the way you want, or it won’t look the way you intended it to. So you fiddle with the code, modifying small values within a menu script or CSS stylesheet & then hope your code gets validated. Frankly, it’s a massive headache that will make you want to take a hammer to the screen or stomp on it.
SimplyTestable takes away the hassle & headache of validation with a single click. It shows live results as multi-page tests are carried out, & then provides a full overview of the results, including failures & successes.
You can also collaborate with other team members if you create a premium account for your organization. You can then add any number of team members & share test results with all of them.
The dashboard will show you your entire test history, including all your past tests which you can search through & filter.
SimplyTestable is available all over the world, & has users from 175 countries. You have to choose from among the three pricing plans – a Personal plan at £9 ($14), an Agency plan at £19 ($30) & a Business plan at £59 ($92).
With the personal plan, you get 5,000 credits. Running an HTML or CSS validation or JSLint analysis on a single page takes up one credit. Doing all 3 on a Site with 10 pages would require 30 credits.
