Scope photo discovery & event streaming app connects you to world events

streaming appScope is a photo discovery & event streaming app that lets you explore & see photos uploaded from a specific location. You can filter by country, city or venue.

The app plugs Google Earth & Instagram together with ‘Live’ event streaming & other features to make it easier to upload & see location-specific multimedia.

Scope was developed & launched by Pantoscope Media. The company’s founder Yanqing Wang explains how it works: Let’s say you’re throwing a grand opening at your new restaurant. Simply create the event in Scope and set the location and radius. Photos taken by guests at your event will automatically be uploaded to your Scope album. It’s a simple feature but it’s the first of its kind. Scope is a game changer in event planning and photo curation.

You can also use Scope simply by zooming in on a specific location on the map to see the latest photos at that location, or those taken at a specific time/date in the past. You can explore live events happening near you, & jump from one show to the next. The app lets you bookmark upcoming events you are interested in, & highlights specific photos from past events.

You can plan your own party by creating a geofenced event in the app. You can host shared events to which all your guests can contribute.

Another key feature is that Scope’s capture mode allows you to take & share pictures seamlessly without any interruptions. With batch upload, you can upload a whole batch in the time it takes for you to share a single photo.

Burnaby, BC, Canada-based Pantoscope Media was founded in 2013 by Yanqing Wang.

The Scope iOS app for photo discovery & event streaming was launched in Sept 2014. They are currently working on the Android version, & expect to launch it soon.
