The Finland based Rovio Entertainment, creators of the world-famous Angry Birds game, & DreamWorks Animation SKG, Inc., which is about to release a 3D animated movie called The Croods, have teamed up to launch a new mobile game for iOS & Android devices, as well as an exclusive short animated clip.

A statement from Rovio gave details of this new game. The Croods game is set in the Stone Age. The Crood family hunts & gather its way through spectacular new landscapes as they tame fantastic & never-seen-before creatures. A player has to help The Croods survive the wild & also each other.

The Croods will debut globally on on March 14 while the movie releases on the 22nd.

The movie is about the world’s first family road trip. When their cave is destroyed, the Crood family led by the patriarch Grug must embark on a comedy adventure into strange and spectacular territory in search of a new home. As if Grug didn’t already have enough to handle, it goes from bad to worse when they encounter an imaginative nomad named Guy.  With Guy’s help the Croods conquer their fear of the outside world and discover that they have exactly what it takes to survive – each other.
