NEW YORK, May 6, 2014 /PRNewswire/ — Viddiverse (www.viddiverse.com), a safe, video site for kids 8 to 13, premieres today, bringing together hundreds of professionally-created, kid-friendly videos plus elements of familiar social media destinations where kids can upload their own user generated videos and enhance them with a cool set of tools including mustaches, picture frames, funny backgrounds and more.
Viddiverse also offers kids the opportunity to build profiles and share content. Started by entrepreneur Malcolm Bird, a former Nickelodeon executive who founded and built AOL Kids & Teens into the #1 kids network in the nation, Viddiverse is the culmination of his 28 years of work as a childrens’ programmer and start up executive.

The site meets all the standards of COPPA, the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act. It requires parental approval; it doesn’t collect any personal information from children, and it will not link to non-Coppa sites. Bird envisions a world where kids can create their own videos and upload them in a non-threatening environment and brands can advertise there without concerns about brand-safety and the possibility of “inappropriate adjacencies.”
