After years of supplying customers in various markets with rock-solid, Cloud based web & native apps, the Swedish company Touchify Solutions AB now launches a new version of their app creation platform Appfly Cloud, offering ground-breaking, cross platform Investor Relations apps with offline viewing support.

A single app source built in the new version of Appfly Cloud, will work on all tablets and phones running Android or Apple’s iOS operating system, with support for Windows 8 phones and tablets being added later this spring. Through innovative caching techniques and a hybrid technical design, the Investor Relations apps also allow offline viewing on all supported devices.

“A Smartphone is often used as a complement to the tablet”, says Peter Haddäng, CEO at Touchify Solutions. “Even if you might not always bring your tablet everywhere, not many people can go through a whole day without their Smartphone. So by offering a solution for Smartphones as well as for tablets, we make it easier for users to always have access to the information. Even if they have left their tablet at home.”

Appfly Cloud Investor Relations apps are fully equipped out-of-the-box, with current stock information, a Multimedia Library for video content, a Document Library for reports and other documents, multiple RSS-feeds for news and calendars, Project and Product Information modules and more. New modules are also added regularly to meet customer demands.

Information can easily be imported from a corporate website into the web based Content Management System in Appfly Cloud and can be updated, altered and managed by corporate communications employees, without need for IT expertise. Any information that is updated in the CMS is immediately communicated out to all devices where the app is installed, whether it is a new corporate video, quarterly report or perhaps a new issue of a customer magazine, without the need to republish the app on the different marketplaces.

The apps also caches all accessed material locally and has download capabilities for documents and multimedia files, enabling offline viewing when in Flight Mode or if a device is offline for any other reason. Whenever the device comes online again, all the offline material is automatically synchronized with any updates from the Appfly Cloud CMS.

“Our customers expressed a wish for their IR apps to be accessible when on board airplanes and in other situations when your device might be offline”, Peter Haddäng continues. “And with our new caching technique and download capabilities, you can now make use of time that might otherwise have been lost.”

One of the first companies to take advantage of this new technology is the global engineering group Trelleborg AB, who will now offer their Investor Relations app on all supported platforms.

“For Trelleborg it is natural to launch an IR app that gives investors and analysts immediate access to quarterly reports and financial data in a user friendly format”, says Christofer Sjögren, VP for Investor Relations at Trelleborg.

Soon, Finnish energy giant Fortum will also release their IR app with Appfly Cloud capabilities, supporting iPhones, iPads and Android phones and tablets.
