Pixit messenger app finds gifs to match typed text

Pixit is a newly launched messenger app that finds & suggests gifs to match the text as you type. It makes messaging a lot more fun to have wacky gifs show up that say exactly what you wanted to express in words.

Those who use emoji may yawn at this, but Tumblr users know how much fun GIF files can be. In fact, a lot of posts on Tumblr are nothing but gifs, & the whole point of it is to get your message across in a GIF that is wickedly funny or sarcastic or sexy.

Pixit, developed by Craigpark Limited, quotes users as saying this new messenger app is super cool. True, new messenger appthat, & you have to see some of the gifs that pop up as suggestions matching your text in order to understand the appeal.

You type in “come on” & a gif of Jim Carrey drinking water & screaming “come on” (from Liar Liar) shows up. The gifs are tailored to match words, & you can choose the one you like best from a full row of suggestions.

You can also zoom in on a single word to get specific gifs relevant just to that one word, so you can add a lot of meaning to it without having to type anything more.

No doubt, gifs of cats snoozing or doing something idiotic will come in very handy, & Pixit happily obliges with 72 different types of cats.

Obviously, it’s a lot of fun when you’re having this kind of a gif back & forth chat with someone else. But the messenger app also supports group chats where you share your snarky gif messages with a whole group & talk about it. This makes it even more like a messenger app made for people who spend endless hours browsing, liking & reblogging Tumblr gifs.
