PaaS provider Jumpstarter shuts down temporarily as it works on new platform

Platform-as-a-service provider Jumpstarter.io that launched in general availability in March this year, has decided to “temporarily” shut down in order to build a new platform.

The startup allowed Web agencies & developers to launch a Site or project by spinning up a pre-configured server in less than a second. Based in Stockholm, Sweden, Jumpstarter.io rationale behind the service was its background in consulting & providing hosting for web agencies starting from 2008 was what helped it understand the needs of its current target customers.

“Over time – and by analysing data and user feedback – we realised that, as a small team, we will not be able to develop the next generation of Jumpstarter while maintaining the current platform and providing excellent service to our users. So we had to make the tough decision to shut down our current service while we work on the next generation of Jumpstarter, which will be the basis for our future and where we are able to grow with our community.

It’s been an extremely tough decision to make…..”, said the Jumpstarter team on its official blog.

The startup said it would not like to discuss too much about the next generation of Jumpstarter to come, “but it is designed to deliver a zero friction way of getting your projects online and creating real businesses around them.”
