No more ads on the Internet?

How would you react if we were to tell you that there’s now a viable option to cancel/block ads on websites, blogs & everything else on the Net? No more annoying ads on the Internet? Surprised? Don’t be.

There’s a device called AdTrap that claims to remove all ads from your Internet connection before the ads reach any of your home computing devices. So, no more ads on the Internet. The device has started retailing in the US recently for US $139, after the startup raised funds on Kickstarter.

So be it video, music streams, mobile apps or websites, all will become ad free if you install this device. Which is also very easy – you just need to fit the white box between your wireless router & modem. Yes, it only works wherer there’s Wi Fi. There’s also reportedly a way that users can create a white list of ads to be allowed. Ah, so there’s hope for Online advertisers.

AdTrap had launched a Kickstarter campaign last year that raised more than $US200,000. And if the developers are to be believed, almost none of the major Online advertisers or advertising companies have complained against the device, so far.
