MailBox

The Mailman….err…we mean the Mailbox is coming

iPhone users who love to use email may be in for some interesting times. Orchestra, Inc has announced that it will soon introduce the mobile application & cloud service called the Mailbox.

Mailbox helps you to manage your email accounts in an organised manner. It allows the users to concentrate on important emails by snoozing the unimportant ones for the time being. The snoozed ones pop up in the inbox automatically after some time, & they can be checked then. One can even archive the emails once they have been read or send  them to the “To Do” list. To ensure one gets delivery at a fast speed, Mailbox checks your email from the cloud & then delivers it to your phone securely.

Easy navigation is also where this App gains brownie points. If one wants to archive an email, he/she has to just swipe the message to the right. A longer swipe in the same direction will delete the message. If one wants to read a message later, it must be swiped to the left. Once done, users are asked when they would like that message to pop back. In this way you can clear your inbox for all the important mails. So in short you can either keep your mails in the inbox or save them later in your inbox or simply delete them.

Another feature of this App is that one can actually have an Inbox which has zero mails. This can be achieved because you have already attended to your important mails saved the mails you will look into later or simply deleted the unnecessary ones.

Nothing better than having a clean conversation history, and this App provides exactly the same. One can view older conversations while typing making it easy to reply. One just needs to tap a message and the font size increases.

In order to have smooth availability of the app, Mailbox has a reservation system where it provides the App on a first-come, first serve basis. As of now Mailbox supports only Gmail but the developers are planning to rope in other mail systems soon.
