Talk.io is a new Internet chat application designed for those who want to meet new people & strike up an Online conversation with them. Talk.io claims to give Online communication a new dimension by including a “social” touch to Online chatting.

This new Internet startup aims to allow people to make new accomplices, targeted at those ‘who are willing to move beyond the social networking websites’. Talk.io is available in English & Polish versions.

Using Talk.io is not so complicated. All the members’ profiles are put out there with little descriptions. Talk.io is a free service & registration is not required to send out invites to, or to chat with other members. A user profile can be created by providing details like a profile image, nickname, age & gender.The account can be integrated with those on the social networking websites & the data from those sites can be used to find similar people on Talk.io.

The matching algorithm implemented in this new Internet chat application helps in matching your profile with other users who have similar tastes as yours. Facebook integration is one special feature of this chat service. If a user is online on Facebook , he/she is also Online on Talk.io.

To start chatting, all you need to do is to send out a message to the person you are interested in striking a conversation with, & if that person reciprocates, you are set. One of the most fun features of Talk.io is creating your own identity to overlap your real one.

Talk.io was launched in mid-September 2012, & since then, claims to have grown considerably. Within 6 weeks, the number of visitors reached over 2500. The founder of Talk.io is Tomasz Dominiak who now plans to take Talk.io to a more global level.
