A brainchild of that world-famous entrepreneur Bill Gross, Idea Market is “a curated crowd-sourced marketplace for ideas that solve everyday problems & uncover new opportunities.” This new crowdsourcing platform is more for business ideas than startups. All you need is to register & post your idea, following which you can not only raise funds but also a team to run your company.

Besides, you can simultaneously vote for ideas you like, take part in challenges, even as you go about investing in some of the proposed ideas yourself.

Which brings us to what Bill Gross & his Idealab is all about. Started in 1996 to create technology companies, many of these were among the 1st to introduce new business ideas to the market.

Idealab continues to explore a range of technology frontiers such as new models for improving the search experience. It has also moved beyond the Internet, & spawned companies with breakthrough technologies in mobile technologies, robotics, & renewable energy among others.
