NASSCOM 10,000 Start-up program to kick-start ‘InnoTrek 2014’

SAN FRANCISCO, May 8, 2014: Starting 12th May, more than 25 Indian start-ups will embark on a journey to Silicon Valley (SF, USA), under the program – InnoTrek 2014. NASSCOM 10,000 Start-ups Program has organized a visit to Silicon Valley, just outside of San Francisco, CA, USA, with the aim to provide a global platform for innovative young businesses to ‘Collaborate, Connect and Co-create’. It will be a weeklong immersive experience in which these start-ups will have the opportunity to participate in meetings, workshops, networking sessions, investor panels, expert roundtables and corporate briefings with subject matter experts and peers.

As the principal sponsor for NASSCOM 10,000 startups, Google for Entrepreneurs will be hosting the InnoTrek teams at Google headquarters for a half day of mentoring and trainings. Mr. Bridgette Beam, Global Entrepreneurship Manager at Google stated, “We have been impressed by the thriving entrepreneurial culture and great startups rising out of India. We are thrilled to host many of the nation’s top founders coming to Silicon Valley through the InnoTrek.”

Collaborate: conferences, site visits, networking dinners

NASSCOM 10,000 Start-ups will be mentoring and guiding Indian start-ups in attending important events such as NASSCOM Product Conclave (Silicon Valley), Collision Conf (Las Vegas), TiECon event that are spread across the week. In order to familiarise the much appreciated work culture of world’s renowned companies. NASSCOM 10,000 Start-ups program has also scheduled site visits to Google Inc., Facebook, LinkedIn, WalMart Labs, Intuit, eBay and many more. The visits and other networking activities will help these start-ups to global work culture and interact and exchange ideas on building a constructive work environment.

Connect: Accelerator visits, Investor Connect, Workshops

The start-ups will also get an opportunity to interact with some of the global business leaders, entrepreneurs, academicians and will get a chance to showcase their work and exchange thoughts/ideas for the future. Some of the prominent names will be Vinod Khosla, Founder, Khosla Ventures; Promod Haque, Norwest Venture Partners; Prof. Harikesh Nair, Faculty – Stanford GSB; BV Jagadeesh, Founder – Exodus, NetScaler, 3Leaf; Rashmi Sinha, Founder/CEO, SlideShare; Neeraj Arora, Business Development Head, WhatsApp; Anand Rajaraman and Venky Harinarayan, Founders – Cambrian Ventures, Junglee & Kosmix, among others. This will help them to connect with relevant resources that will help them pursue their growth trajectory.
