Though this particular startup does not have much to do with the Online world, once again, this app is one that straddles both worlds – virtual & real.
Jukely is a social networking & concert ticket booking app for music lovers planning on attending concerts. To be specific, Jukely bills itself as a matchmaker that analyzes music tastes & preferences to match you with your friends & friends of friends for upcoming concerts & other music-related shows & events.
In other words, you don’t have to go around asking people if they’re planning on attending a concert you want to go to. The Jukely social networking app will automatically pair you with people in your circle of friends who are interested in the same kind of music, as indicated on their social network profiles.
It’s a much more logical & neat way of initiating conversations & cooking up plans to attend a concert than having to do it the old-fashioned way.
Jukely, of course, steps in at the right moment as your ticketing agent for the concert, assuming your whole group is agreed on it. They use Stripe as their payment processor, & it’s just like booking tickets with any other ticketing agent.
Once you book the tickets, you may receive the tickets as a pdf file, or just be put on a guest list of will-call list, depending on what ticketing system the concert organizers are using.
If you cancel your plans or someone drops out, Jukely will seek refunds from the organizer & forward it to you if the organizer has a refund policy in place.
Apart from this basic concert attending coordination & ticketing, Jukely is also introducing quite a few innovations to foster loyalty within their user base. You get universal points & contest points for referring friends & following/liking the artists, promoters & venues of each event.
You can win a contest by collecting the most points, which then means you get to attend that concert as a prize.
Secondly, Jukely is getting ready to release a rather unusual subscription plan. For a $25/month subscription, you’ll be able to attend an unlimited number of concerts.
