Heard of Jego? Well, it is the Skype/Viber/WhatsApp rival from China Mobile that took off last week. Today, it also launched its apps (free) on iOS & Android.

China Mobile is the world’s largest carrier with over 700 million subscribers. Jego is a mobile communication application based on Internet, so you can use Jego only when Internet network is available, like 3G/4G/Wifi (including 3GSN). 2G is not recommended.

Jego enables you to make phone call to anywhere wherever you are. All you need to do is have Jego installed on your mobile device, connected to Internet & get your Jego credits or subscribe call plan, & then you can start making phone call at very low rates.

Jego also boasts of other regular features like free calls & text chats between Jego users. There are other premium add-ons like HD video calls. Jego offers unlimited calling to China for US $15.99 per month, or Hong Kong for Us $11.79 per month. This is slightly cheaper than what Skype has to offer.

Targeted at users worldwide, Jego grants international users the option of registering their own China Mobile number without a SIM card. Those on mainland China with a China Mobile number can revert all calls to Jego when they go overseas to save on roaming costs.
