Real help from real people in real time is how Google has described this new Online service. Called Helpouts, this is a new way of getting help, Online. Some one has described this as an attempt of mixing Google+, Hangouts & Google Wallet.

A ‘Helpout’ is a Hangout-like video chat, only, instead of a friend, you get to talk with a domain expert. For a price. So, if you have a query related to that lump on your hand, maybe an expert on Helpout can guide you. Live, in video chat, that’s what this new service of getting help Online is.

Google called a select few from the media & gave them a look at the product, asking them to even spend some time with it.

There are service providers who offer to provide help – some for free, some for a price. Eg: There’s a guitarist who is offering to give you X number of guitar lessons for X price, while a hair stylist is willing to give some styling tips for free. Take your pick.

The various categories of Helpout experts include Arts & Music, Cooking, Education & Careers, among others.
