#Fetchnotes: A hashtag-based note-taking & collaborative app

Lot of people use note taking apps like Evernotes or OneNote for jotting down ‘to do’ lists or quick notes at any point of time. Startup Fetchnotes is another app for multiple platforms that has joined this brigade.

So what makes Fetchnotes different from other apps? Well, the user can hashtag the notes which turn into topics or subjects which can then be searched at any point of time, making this a simple way to categorize subjects, & even collaborate between team members. Once they sign up, users can add new notes, & a user is also meant to add one or more hashtag every time. Like #Work or #Weekend. The left side bar on the app is then filled with these hashtags. You can select multiple tags which gets your notes related to these tags. Fetchnotes eliminates folders & color coding notes, which brings a fresh new way to take & recall notes.

Fetchnotes has some more tricks up its sleeve. You can add notes from email, text message if you have registered a phone number, mobiles and even the desktop. This makes it very easy to take notes from anywhere & they all get synced to your account the moment you start typing. There is no need to save the note as the app keeps on saving everything you type in.

The hashtag centric world is coming to every part of our Online lives. We should thank Twitter for this. Fetchnotes can also send notes to other users when registered. Similar to Twitter, just add @ & the username to send across the note. If the person is not using a device compatible with Fetchnotes, one can receive the note in form of a text message.

Fetchnotes lets you to simplify the note taking process. The ‘to-do’ lists work great when you tag your work in terms of date or time. Like #Tomorrow or #Evening. This way it gets easier to collect a summary of work based on time. One thing which Fetchnote lacks is the capability to embed images or any other media format, but well, you can’t have it all now, can you?
