Facebook, Facebook Messenger dominate social & chat apps. Oh yes, there’s also WhatsApp

Mobile usage trends analysis firm Mobidia has released new research that clearly shows Facebook’s app’s dominance over social & chat apps among mobile users.

The apps, including Facebook, WhatsApp, & Facebook Messenger, reported the survey, were driving high engagement metrics around the world. As demonstrated in the chart below, Facebook’s core app, messenger, WhatsApp, & Instragram dominate actively monthly users and minutes of use in most geographies – including Western Europe.
