Undoubtedly, market research is very important when you are promoting a product, a service or planling to launch a startup. But market research also involves some amount of investment. Consumer feedback does enhance the products’ long-term longevity. Keeping this in mind, a US-based company Javelin has developed a Web-based product that helps startups & small businesses to make a trial based experiment for their to-be-launched products.

‘Experiments’, as they have named it, works like a log book for your activities. Users can input their plans & ideas & track them as they proceed. The main benefit of Experiments is that it can help plan & track every action done or to be done in the pre-launch stage. Experiments runs these tasks & gives a quantifiable outcome based on interim results. These results can help get things done more in less effort.

Javelin provides various templates with Experiments to craft various hypothesis to fetch the results. For example, what will be the impact of adding a particular hashtag in my Twitter Campaign? The outcome will say 20% increase in user engagement. Users can save their experiments & apply them in real time for better results.

Experiments also gives feedback on the assumptions you make. As this system is linked to every stake holder of your company, other stake holders can give feedback & you can take the action, accordingly. Multiple experiments methods can be chosen from a wide range of methods & assumptions.

As all the experiments are saved & synced they can be accessed at any time & you can choose which one to run. Experiments automatically documents every result all the time.

Experiments has a free-trial period of 30 days. The personal edition is for US $29 per month which gives access to 1 Project, 5 users & Run & Track Experiments features. Other packages are yet to be announced. Experiments is still in beta & many new features are to be added.
