Flappy Bird developer launches another game called Swing Copters

Online gamers, remember Dong Nguyen? No? Here’s another clue – Flappy Bird game? Ah ha, yes, the Vietnamese developer has released a game on Android & iOS as well called Swing Copters.

Flappy Bird was simple, yet addictive, a reason why Dong pulled it out from the apps market. In Swing Copters, rather than navigating a bird sideways, you are tasked with guiding a helicopter’s flight, all the time avoiding hammers that swing from each gate. Gamers get a point for every gate their chopper pass through.

The copter flies from side-to-side automatically, but you can change its direction with a tap. Once the copter gets moving in a particular direction, it becomes harder to regain control of its flight path. Swing Copters is a free app & uses in-game advertising to make money.

FlappyCoinWhat do you get when you combine virtual currency BitCoin with the now-extinct Online game Flappy Bird? You get FlappyCoin.

Cashing on on the unprecedented popularity seen around Flappy Bird, a group of developers from Vietnam, the same country from where the game developer hails from, have got together to launch the new digital currency called FlappyCoin.

Flappy Bird, the Online game was available for free download on both, iOS & Android powered devices.FLAP, as Flappy Bird is called, on the other hand, is an electronic currency that allows making payments almost instantly anywhere in the world, based on scrypt PoW, descendant of Litecoin. Launched on Feb 14, the developers of this new currency have said on the Website that, “…we contacted the owner of Flappy Bird game and he granted us all the rights to publish this coin using resources from the Flappy Bird game.”
The Website seems to be still at a development stage; some functions work, some don’t.
The Flappy Bird game, as most of you know by now, was shuttered by developer Dong Nguyen for reasons that are not entirely clear even today although officially he did say he was yanking it off because “it was too addictive”.
The FLAP guys have even launched a game around the coin as a trial called FlappyCoin Contest, & announced some winners, too.
