Got a slow Site? Here’s someone who can help you

Site download speed

Do you care about your mobile or Web Site loading slow? No? Well, here’s the thing – nobody likes a slow loading Website. Many abandon downloading if a Site they looking for does not come on the screen in under 3 seconds. Yup, you heard right – 3 seconds!

Search engines such as Google, too, frown upon slow loading Sites.Such Sites. Google figures people don’t like sites that are slow so why rank them highly in the search results? That means you get some SEO benefit by having a fast Site.

Which means fast load times equal higher rankings. And higher rankings lead to more traffic. More traffic leads to more social medias shares.

There’s a startup called Load Faster that works to decrease the dowload speeds of your Site by 100%. That’s the claim they make.

According to surveys done by Akamai and Gomez.com, 51% of customers expect a Site to load in 2 seconds or less, and they tend to abandon a site that isn’t loaded within 3 seconds. Eight out of 10 Online buyers who have trouble with Website performance say they won’t return to the Site to buy again, & around 44% of them would tell a friend if they had a poor experience shopping Online. So a slow Site has lot of ramifications sometimes, especially if you are into ecommerce.

So, if you are interested in decreasing you Site’s download speeds, get in touch with this French startup. Just a headsup, there are no free plans so be prepared to shell out the moolah.

Diskless boot tools & utilities from AOMEI Technology

Among the many products offered by Chinese company AOMEI Technology, there are a few that stand out because they’re not about disk storage or partitions. On the contrary, these are tools & utilities that help you boot diskless workstations through the network.

One of these is the free PXE Boot software that boots workstations from an image file on the network. Large networks with lots of workstations are impossible to manage if each one has its own disk & individual installation process.

The easy way out is to create a Linux or Windows PE bootable ISO & use a tool like the AOMEI PXE Boot Tool to boot & maintain computers on the LAN. All you have to do is install the PXE Boot on the server, select the ISO & start the service. Set the boot priority on the workstations to Network Boot, & we’re done.

A tool that makes it easy to fix problems when a workstation disk refuses to boot is the AOMEI PE Builder. It creates a bootable environment based on Windows PE without installing AIK/WAIK.

It enables you to boot up your computer on the network & complete recovery tasks & attempt to fix the disk when the native system is corrupted or cannot be used. Unlike the usual bare-bones WinPE environment, this tool has the look & feel of Windows & offers a user-friendly graphic interface. Oh, & it’s free too.

Another similar tool is the AOMEI OneKey Recovery, also free. If a workstation disk goes belly-up with a “boot failure” or “operating system not found” message, you don’t need to bring out all your software installation disks & spend the whole day reinstalling everything.

Instead, you can use the AOMEI OneKey Recovery to restore the disk to its factory default or a previously backed up state. You can also use it to create backups before something goes wrong. The OneKey Recovery backup can be stored anywhere, including on a secondary disk in the same computer, an external hard drive, or a removable USB flash drive.

AOMEI Technology Co., Ltd., founded in 2009, is located in Chengdu, China. The company offers a range of products, including hard disk partition management tools, backup & restore solutions, & cloud storage management for home & business users.
