Password management app 1Password comes to Android

1passwordRemembering passwords have become a real pain in the neck. Changing them even worse. To solve the pain of creating & remembering passwords is now an app called 1Password. This is a password management app & wallet that generates strong & unique passwords for all your needs, & then lets you log in to those Sites with a single tap.

The Android version of the app went Live some days ago. The obvious benefit of this app is that you don’t have to remember a bucketload of passwords for all the Sites you use, & you don’t have to compromise on security by putting in easy to crack passwords containing the names of your dog or cats & your birthdays.

But that’s just one part of the advantages of using this password management app. All your data is protected behind a single master password. The app uses secure & tamper-proof encryption to create a vault for all your sensitive data.

Along with the passwords, it can also store your bank accounts, credit cards, secure notes & a lot more. The app also lets you sync the device with others on which you may be using 1Password.

1Password offers separate versions of the app for the PC, Mac, iOS & Android, along with Dropbox support for automatic cross-platform syncs. This means you can folder sync your data securely across all your devices without putting anything on a cloud.

This is where it used to be a little complicated, because the app was basically designed for iOS & Mac users, & Android users were treated like poor second cousins.

But the new release of the updated app on Android that is now available for free download on Google Play wipes out the past with a beautiful & friendly interface that lets you do everything from managing folders & items (add, delete & edit) in the vault to password generation, copying login & other details for use in other apps, etc.

The Android app’s premium features are unlocked until Aug 1, 2014, at which time the free app will turn into a reader. You can unlock all the features after that with a one-time purchase.

The 1Password password management app was developed by Toronto, Canada-based AgileBits Inc.
