New iOS app Waffle allows picture conversations with friends

new iOS appPhoto sharing apps are now a dime a dozen. But newly launched app Waffle claims to be a photo sharing cum messaging app. Or a messaging app with heavy use of photos.

The basic premise is simple enough – after downloading the app, you may use the new iOS app to send a “Waffle”, a slide with 4 side-by-side images. The person (s) you sent it to you is then free to replace any of those images with their own. And so there, you are having an image-based interaction. Taking an image, too, is very easy.

Launched 2 days ago, these guys are now working on an Android version of Waffle.

LINE turns Vine-like feature called SnapMovie from its chat app into a full-blown app

Well-known Japanese messaging company LINE has decided to hive off its Vine-clone feature from its chat app & turn it into a full-fledged app for Android.

Called the SnapMovie, this feature was added to LINE messaging app last year. SnapMovie allows users to shoot up to 30 seconds of footage & then modify/edit it however you like.

Here’s what you may use this app for:

– Filming your baby’s first steps
– Proposing to that special someone
