It’s rare these days to hear of anyone launching a new Web browser so when Maxthon launched it’s MxNitro Web Browser as an addition to its family of high-performance Web browsers, we decided to take it for a spin.

Maxthon has positioned this as “the fastest-starting, quickest page-loading, & most visually uncluttered Web browser in the world,”. It is targeted as Web surfers who don’t want to mess with complicated features like ad blockers, extensions & Cloud services.

Maxthon claims the new Web browser was built from the ground up to maximize start-up time, page rendering speed, & stability. Essentially, it is a stripped-down & souped-up version of previous browsers.

Maxthon is a company that started producing browsers for Windows, but has recently expanded to other platforms as well.

So, how have these guys managed to add “super speed” to the new Web browser? They stripped out all unnecessary features that cause delays in browser start-up time:
