Online, specifically social life, seems no longer viable without hashtags. #has become part of our social media lives, so like it or not, you gotta learn to live with it. Earlier, we had written about search engines built around hashtags such as Topicurious.

Now, there’s a new one called the Hashtag Scout. Still in beta, this search engine allows you to search for those hashtags that have been trending, & are of recent vintage. In this way, it takes out the guesswork from the business. Users no longer need to guess which words are popular as hashtags & which are not.

What’s even more exciting is the fact that startup also provides additional details for each hashtag search. So, if you look for 3D printing, it throws up the estimated number of searches per day, per month as well as recent popular Tweets that had this hashtag included.

Unfortunately, we are unable to give you more details on this startup since it does not have an About Us section or anything of that sort.
