Most Useful Startups & Apps

Everybody loves lists. So 6 months after we had launched this website, in September 2010, to be precise, we decided to come out with our own list. Every month. Of the Most Useful Startup of The Month. A year or so later, we also added mobile computing device applications to it.

This is not a list of the “Best” or “Most Popular” sites. This website’s line of thought, as all of you may be aware by now, is to report on all those startups that promise to make your Internet surfing Easy, Economical, Efficient & Educative. That’s one reason why we do not “blindly” report on each & every Startup launched (Real World + Cyberworld) but carefully handpick from those launched only in the virtual world that aim at bettering your Online life, one way or the other.

Here are some more reasons why our Content team chose “Useful” over “Best”:

(a) Best is a very subjective word
(b) Only those startups that add some kinda value to the end-user – the web surfer – are considered

So, at the end of every month, our webspiders pause & take stock of all the startups & apps they have unearthed in the last 30 days. From those, our in-house editorial team selects 1 for its uniqueness, & the manner in which it seeks to enrich a digital native’s Net experience. Of course, the startups have to pass some rigorous parameters before being shortlisted. The edit team then takes the final call.

The selected startup or app then gets to proudly wear the badge of the ‘Most Useful Startup of the Month’ & also gets a special mention on our website, not to mention a leg-up by way of free publicity, Online.
