Tether your phone to your PC with this app called AirDroid

Here’s an app that duplicates almost everything on your smartphone screen on to your desktop, wirelessly. That’s why it’s been one of the most popular app in Google store since its launch a few years ago.

After you download the AirDroid app, open it & create an account. When you 1st sign in the app, you will be asked if you want to turn on AirDroid’s ‘Find Phone’ feature. Once you do that, you are set.

new appHere are the many things you can do with AirDroid: If you want to send SMS using this app, all you need to do is go to web.airdroid.com, sign in & click on messages. You can compose a new message by clicking on the ‘New Message’ tab. Key in your Contact’s name & you can start chatting. This new app also allows group chats. Sending SMS from your computer seems far convenient than from your mobile phone because of the convenience of the large screen.

You can easily see & manage all of your applications on your mobile device by clicking on the Apps icon. If you’re looking to delete an app that’s taking up too much space, simply tap the delete icon & it will uninstalled immediately.

Among the other things you can do with this app is find your mobile device if you have forgotten where you have kept it. You can even click on the call logs & on your PC, see all incoming, outgoing & missed phone calls.

AirDriod is a product by Sand Studio, a product team from Tongbu Networks. The idea 1st came to mind when the team at Tongbu got tired of looking for USB cables & installing drivers. Since the first release on Google Play in November 2011, AirDroid has gained more than 20 million downloads.

“Super slo-mo” capability on your smartphone camera thanks to this Taiwan company

mediatekThe Taiwan headquartered semi conductor company MediaTek today announced the arrival of Super-Slow Motion Technology, a smartphone camera feature that enables the phones to create 480 frames per second (fps) 1080p full HD videos & playback at 1/16 speed.

MediaTek said in a release that the Super-Slow Motion Technology controls several subsystems that work in concert, beginning with the Sony IMX220, 20.7MP sensor, which is used to capture the videos. The captured high fps videos are then passed through MediaTek’s advanced image processing system, ensuring that each processed frame is of premium quality while displaying the image in excellent clarity & detail.

Additionally, users may edit their videos as much as they like while retaining total control over the duration and location of the Super-Slow Motion segment on the video timeline. Once a Super-Slow Motion video is rendered, users can then easily share it with friends and family.
